Where can I find New Life Spectrum® in my area?
You can check out the BUY link on the menubar of this site. There we have a selection of online retailers, as well as a local store finder (the Shop Local button). We encourage customers to support their local aquarium shop when possible! We are also sold via Petco stores, which are throughout the country. The retail store finder has limited results because as a manufacturer we don’t necessarily know all of the local retail stores that sell NLS.
How much Spectrum should I be feeding?
New Life Spectrum® is a high-density nutrition pellet, so you don’t need a lot for your fish. Our general rule is whatever the fish can eat in 30 seconds to 1 minute with little to now leftovers. Fish won’t generally turn down food even when hungry, but you should observe them becoming less ‘eager’ for it once they’re not hungry.
Can my fish eat only Spectrum® daily without mixing foods?
New Life Spectrum® is designed as a daily diet, and has all your fish’s nutritional needs included in the pellet in biologically appropriate proportions. In fact, if your fish will eat Spectrum, supplementing their diet with other items may reduce the overall nutrition your aquarium companions receive.
